Man United have already won the Premier League, Carling Cup and FA Cup

That’s according to Irish bookmaker Paddy Power. Yes, the bookie that prides it selves on being the punter’s friend and has become famous for it’s early payouts and money-back specials has today taken the bold move to pay out on all bets placed on Manchester United to win the Premier League, the FA Cup and the Carling Cup.

A spokesman for Paddy Power had this to say : “We know and punters know the race for trophies is all but over for another year so why wait for the formalities? However, paying out on all three is a gamble. Football has a way of biting teams on the backside when they least expect it so we could yet end up with egg on our faces and not for the first time.”

Football Corner is a proud affiliate of Paddy Power’s and as a result, you now have the opportunity to take advantage of a cracking offer. Sign-up through the link below and you will receive a free £20 bet when you bet £10 or more. My advice would be to put your free bet on United to win all three domestic trophies and the Champions League at odds of 12/1.

West Ham United vs Middlesbrough live Stream free

West Ham United will be confident of progressing to the next round when they welcome struggling Middlesbrough side in their FA Cup fifth round clash on Saturday.

Middlesbrough have won just two of their last 15 matches, with both the victories coming in the FA Cup against Barrow and Wolves. Pressure is slowly increasing on manager Gareth Southgate who is finding it tough to repeat Boro’s FA Cup performances from the last three seasons when they made it to the sixth round.

West Ham have recovered from a poor start under Gianfranco Zola and have won six and lost just one of their last nine matches. The last time both West Ham and Middlesbrough met in the cup was back in 2005 when the Hammers secured a 1-0 win to qualify for the finals of the tournament.

Robin Van Persie heading for Inter Milan?

Arsenal striker Robin Van Persie has today been linked with a summer move to Italian giants Inter Milan. The Dutch international is currently locked in negotiations with Arsenal over a new long-term contract, with the club unwilling to cough up the £80,000 a week Van Persie is demanding.

The 25-year old has been one of Arsenal’s top performers this season in what has largely been a disappointing campaign to date. Inter boss Jose Mourinho is desperate to bring a new striker to the San Siro once the season ends, with Van Persie believed to be his number-one target, however Arsene Wenger will obviously be reluctant to sell one of his most prized assets.

If Arsenal are to finish the season without winning any kind of silverware, I think Van Persie may well look for a move to Inter. Since joining the club back in 2004, Van Persie has won just one trophy. The FA Cup in 2005 and for me, a player of Van Persie’s quality should be winning more than just one trophy every four years.

What do you think? Will another trophiless season see Van Persie on his way out of the Emirates? Leave your comments below.

So Beckham won’t be signing for AC Milan after all

It has been confirmed today, that David Beckham will not be signing for Italian giants AC Milan on a permanent basis. The England midfielder recently expressed his desire to stay in Milan after only joining the club on a two-month loan deal, however LA Galaxy coach Bruce Arena has today claimed the move is now off and that Beckham will return to America next month.

AC Milan were told earlier this week that if any move was to happen it would have to be done by Friday evening. That deadline has now passed without Milan making an acceptable offer and Beckham, 33, will now have to return to the US.

Arena had this to say : “Today’s deadline imposed by Major League Soccer Commissioner Don Garber regarding a resolution of David Beckham’s potential transfer to AC Milan has passed and we did not receive an acceptable offer for the player.

“As a result, David remains an LA Galaxy player and we look forward to having him back with the club starting 9th March“. Since joining Milan back in January, Beckham has been in outstanding form and as a result has recieved some high praise from Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti. It is clear for all to see that Beckham is desperate to stay in Italy and somehow, I don’t think we’ve seen the end of this.

What do you think will happen? Leave your comments below.

Everton v Aston Villa live

Aston Villa will be keen to maintain their recent supremacy over Everton when the two teams meet in their FA Cup fifth round clash on Sunday.

Villa have won three of their last five meetings against Everton including two at Goodison Park. Both the teams played out a thrilling match early this season with Villa emerging 3-2 winners with both Villa and Everton scoring a goal each in injury time.

Villa were the last team to beat Everton at Goodison Park and manager Martin O’Neill will be hoping that his side will repeat the performance once again as he looks to help Villa qualify to the quarter finals for the first time since taking over as the manager two years ago.

Villa will be without Gareth Barry who is suspended for the match but Luke Young should be available for selection after withdrawing from England’s squad in the midweek. Everton will be missing Jo who is cup-tied while Marouane Fellaini has been diagnosed with a crack in a bone in his back.

Derby County v Manchester United live

Derby County will be looking to repeat their performance from the last time that Manchester United visited Pride Park as both the teams meet in their FA Cup fifth round clash on Sunday.

Both the teams played each other in the League Cup semi final clash with Derby securing a shock 1-0 win over the league champions after Kris Commons had put the Rams ahead in the 30th minute. Though United progressed to the final of the tournament with a 4-2 win in the return leg, manager Nigel Clough will be hoping that his side put up a good fight and come away with an upset on Sunday.

United have a good record against Derby in the FA Cup with the Red Devils winning 5 and losing two of the eight matches played between the two sides. Jay McEveley will be unavailable for Derby with the defender suspended for the game for collecting 5 yellow cards. However Stephen Pearson has recovered from his injury and is expected to be at least named on the bench as Derby seek a second successive victory over United at Pride Park.
