yeah, in a baseball swing you bend both arms, but in the correct golf swing the left arm stays dead straight or only bends VERY slightly.

Notice on the slow-mo how his tee shoots backwards, thats how you know you are making perfect contact

lucky,he’s correct with the baseball swing. But only as far as making sure your hips come through before impact and driving off that back leg. A great example. There’s a lot more to it than that, but you need to get the ‘whiplash’ effect so your hips are about 3/4 facing the target as your club impacts the ball.

Well, when teeing up, once you have the ball at the correct hight, stand with your feet tight together.. with the club face setting right behind the ball. Take a small step back with your hind Right Foot (For Righties, opp for lefties) and you are in the correct address position.. If you are still hooking it, It means you are swinging outside in, or flipping your wrists through your follow through, causing the club face to impart side spin on the ball instead of a natural hit. Been there too.

I find that Interesting.. Most of the top and most renowned professional instructors in the world use baseball swings as an example in teaching golf swings.. David Leadbetter more so than most.. It is not swinging like in baseball, but the motion and body syncronization that it requires.. Quite a few baseball players who can’t play anymore play golf and find that they have really powerful swings.. It’s because of the syncronization of the body, not the swing itself..3

your right. i recently stop playing baseball cuz i like golf better. and it’s hard to not have a baseball approach

this guy is TOTALLY incorrect on how to drive the ball! It is nothing like swinging a baseball bat and as a former baseball player, it has been tough breaking my baseball habits and keeping my arms straight and not braking my wrists.

If you’re hitting the ball into the ground it’s because you are lifting up at impact and topping the ball. Pretend like your trying to pound the ball into the ground and let the loft do it’s job. If the ball doesn’t get up then maybe you’re just ugly.
